My Favorite Deep Conditioner-Extra Virgin Coconut Oil on Dry Hair

Welcome!

I was over a friends house this weekend while weathering hurricane Irene. My hair was sooo dry. You know us ladies can't bring our entire arcinal of haircare products to HIS house because its just too much stuff to carry. We've got clothes etc and heck...you just need to be home to do certain stuff. So while I had a great time...I finally made it home and got to work on my couf. I coconut oil deep conditioned on dry hair all night. This has been the saving grace of my hair and you've gotta try it. You will hear me talk about it alot so pleaze just try it already. This is what I did.

What you need: Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Unrefined), comb, saran wrap, satin scarf and small towel.

You can either liquify the oil or scoop it right from the jar. I divided my hair in 4 parts and massaged a little bit all over my scalp. Rubbed oil all through my hair concentrating on ends and new growth- do not put so much as to where its dripping. Wrapped in saran wrap and placed satin scarf on. I then placed the small towel between my pillowcase and the pillow just to protect my pillow.

The next morning I removed the saran wrap and scarf and my hair was soooo soft and strong. I placed in a loose ponytail and went for a 3 mile run (totally optional of course) and when I returned co-washed with one of my cheapie moisturing conditioners and rinsed. Added my leave-ins and airdried in a low ponytail. Because my ends get dry when I airdry, I put shea butter (ninapruitt recipe) the entire length of my pony tail and wa-la..straight ends. I do this once a week.
