Extensions for Length and PROTECTION
Adding extensions or a "track" to your hair can defently provide length. But who knew it could also provide needed protection from clothing, especially winter clothing and the relaxed hair enemy #1...the wool coat!
Let me just tell you if you didn't know. A wool coat can reek some serious havoc on your hair in a matter of a few minutes...not even and hour.
If you were anything like me as a women with a good length...wearing extensions was not what I wanted to do...I have hair, why would I need some fake hair sewn up in it? Well I'll tell you...it is sooo worth it especially when winter hits and temperature requires the wool. I have my hairdresser sew in 3 10' tracks (my hair is crazy thick) at the bottom of my hairline and curl.
Have you ever used a sewn in track for protection or is it just for style?

Detangling With Minimal Shedding- Decoded!!
I'm the queen of shedding.
It seems like a drop of water can touch my hair and I loose 2 strands. I washed my hair on Saturday. I pre-pooed with coconut oil and went for my Saturday 3 mile run. Came home, hopped in the shower where I washed with Hair One in sections then conditioned with Herbal Essence Hello Hydration mixed with some castor oil. Rinsed, then rinsed with ACV and water mixture and finally rinsed with cold water.
Hair felt good but now the detangling part. I know some of you detangle in the shower with conditioner on your hair-I used to as well. Great if that works for you..but for me its a fail. Too much. I loose more hair because I still have to detangle especially if I'm air drying-- in a ponytail-- a second time once I t-shirt dry my mane.
So here was one burst of sunlight at the end of my proverbial hair journey tunnel...wait for it...finger detangling! Yes ladies and some gents...finger detangling. I put on all my leave in's ending with my Chi Infusion (love that stuff). Then I take semi-small sections and separate and super gently finger comb my hair until I get through my entire head. Then I take my big comb and start my final detangling process. Pulled back into a ponytail and placed my scarf on for about 20 min. before I had to head out the door. I lost so much less hair it was great. I didn't take pictures but I promise to next time.

This Baggying Thing!
Well I did it again last night...baggied my hair...well 3/4 of my hair that is. See I've been wearing a little "help" for length and my own hair and all its thickness (thank you God) was as dry as, yes the cliche desert. I didn't want to co-wash so I decided to baggy for about 3 hours while watching the football game, take off the plastic shower cap then pincurl. My hair came out great.
I placed the recipe for the products I use when baggying in my last post.
Check it out!
